The Anger of Mother Earth will Not End the Hope to Live

When I heard the Japan 8.9 earthquake and tsunami that took 10,000 lives and half of a million homeless  for the first time, my heart stopped. Because I have a best friend who live in Tokyo, Japan. And she just gave birth to a twins. The deadly earthquake that struck Tokyo, where she lives shaken me.  Than I heard also that tsunami hit Japan. Make everything worse. I wanted to call her. But I didn't have her number. We usually chat on the internet, where she always online, and that day she was not. So, I left her offline message and also wrote on her Facebook wall, hoping that she answer it when she saw it. And Alhamdulillah, she answered it and told me that she, Dannasan, and her two beautiful baby boys are save and warm. When the earthquake struck Japan, she was holding her one baby in one arm, and the other hand was trying to hold her other son's crib. And now, she has to face the  after disaster crisis when the food and water are hard to find.

Japan earthquake become one of the largest earthquake in the history of Japan. But Indonesia, recently got so many natural disaster, from tsunami that hit Aceh until landslide that hit one small village in Pasir Jambu, Jawa Barat. All of the natural disaster in Indonesia took people's live and left huge damage.

In every difficult time, there always a hope. Humanity in people's heart will rise without they realize it. We can feel the love to our family and friends. Praying that they are save.  When a 7.3  magnitude earthquake struck Bandung in 2009. I worked on the second floor. And I saw the stair we used was moving like snake. Everyone was running to the open area. I saw my friend hold my pregnant friend's hand while they were trying to get out of the building. I knew that she was afraid too, but a small courage led her to move slowly and helped my pregnant friend to walk safely. Then, while we were waiting to the earthquake stop and save, we all try to contact our family and friends. The phone connection was off. And everyone started to panic, because it was hard to find out about the condition of our family. It was scary. But Alhamdulillah, the internet connection was good. I can see my sister, cousins, and some friends were making status on Facebook. So, they were alright. That was the moment that woke me up, that I really need my family and I don't want to loose any of them.

We never know, what and when. The only we can do is live the best we can. And send our love to the beloved people. Let them know that we are care.

Dedicated to my best friend. Inchan (ganbatene!), Dhea, and Leni.
